FIRST EVER NATIONAL ONLINE CULINARY COMPETITION 2018.

 

 

 

Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad, India’s pioneering and full-fledged culinary arts college established in the year 1996 is today ranked amongst Top Ten Culinary Schools in the world by ‘ASIAN CORRESPONDANT’. BRAND CAI has dedicated itself to the promotion of culinary excellence in India and Abroad with the strong support from our International Training Partners like P&O Cruises-UK, Princess Cruise lines-USA & Costa Cruise lines- Italy. We have imparted culinary education to over 5000 young budding chefs and launched their careers in Leading Hotels Chains of India, Cruise lines of Europe and America and in some of the best Hotels Chains in the Gulf. One can see a CAI’ian in all the five continents of the world.

 

This is the First Ever Online Culinary Competition of India for budding chefs to show case their culinary talent from all over the country. The final best three plates will be selected by a panel of acclaimed judges from India and abroad.

 

This competition is open to only the third year / fourth year students pursuing Hotel Management & Culinary Arts courses in various colleges all over India. For more details and updates please browse our website: www.iactchefacademy.com

 

All eligible participants who wish to register and participate in the competition should make a VEGETARIAN OR A NON VEGETARIAN MAIN COURSE FROM ANY CUISINE OF THE WORLD and plate the same for eye appeal and presentation value using your best artistic plating skill & knowledge.

 

 

RULES

1. There is no entry fee and the competition and is open to only Indian Nationals.

2. Students of Culinary Academy of India will not participate in this competition.

3. Registration forms are available online on our website www.iactchefacademy.com.

4. Entries close at 5pm on Saturday 17 March 2018.

5. Registration should be done only in English and the recipe of the dish has to be in English only.

6.After the online registration and submission of the ACADEMIC HONESTY DECLARATION form, you

will be allowed to upload your product with the name of the dish, the recipe of the dish & photograph of the dish (resolution of not less than 2 MB and not more than 10 MB and the photograph should be in landscape only)

6a. The dish should be the participants own creation and will undergo a plagiarism check

6b.Everything on the plate must be edible.

6c. Only a Vegetarian or a Non Vegetarian main course from any cuisine of the world to be made. Participants can use vegetables, fish, seafood, game, poultry, lamb, pork & buffalo meat only.

6d.All the rules of compiling a classical main course plate should be duly adhered to.

6e.The photograph of the dish will be evaluated for composition, rules of plating a main course, practicality, design, eye appeal and the recipe.

6f.All the above criteria for evaluation will carry same percentage of marks.

6g. The judges decision is final and binding.

7. The recipe sheet and the picture of the dish have to be submitted online at www. iactchefacademy.com.

8. The first prize winner will be awarded a cash award of Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand Rupees only). The first Runner Up will be awarded a cash award of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand Rupees only) and the Second Runner Up be awarded a cash award of Rs. 7,000/- (Seven Thousand Rupees only). Applicable Taxes will be deducted accordingly from the mentioned Prize money.

9.By registering and participating in the competition, you agree that the recipe, picture or any other material submitted to the organizers as part of the competition will automatically become the property of BRAND CAI once submitted and can use the recipe or the picture as required.

10. The decision of the Judges is final, binding and no correspondence will be entertained on the outcome of the competition.

E-certificates will be given to all the participants who have registered and sent their Product Photograph and the Recipe. The respective medals, cash awards and certificates of awards will be presented to the three winners at a valedictory function to be held at Hyderabad.

 

The winners will be informed in advance and the names of the winners, names of the colleges to which the winning students belong and their product pictures will be duly displayed on our website. The national, local print & visual media will cover the entire event extensively. The colleges of the winning participants will be honoured with a Special Silver Citation for developing such talented students.

 

All the three winners will be provided with to and fro airfare to attend the award ceremony and one night stay in a five star hotel at Hyderabad.

a) The entire registration/participation process should be completed at one go.

 

b)Registration from, Academic Honesty Declaration Form and the Product details form will open only one time.

c)Complete all three procedures at the same time. To complete the registration keep your product details such as recipe and picture ready.
