RELISH FOOD FESTIVAL HELD IN HYDERABAD FROM 31stOctober 2014 to 2nd November 2014

Relish means delightful, flair, delegation and enjoyment. Relish Food festival held in Hyderabad from 31st October 2014 to 2nd November 2014 was an event for all the food enthusiasts, held at the Hitex exhibition centre and managed by its CEO ,Mr.Nageshwar Prasad and Next Events headed by Mr.Anil Arora. Brand CAI or the Culinary Academy of India was the education partner for the event.There were more than 20 restaurants which featured their best recipes at the event. Hyderabad foodies indeed had a lip smacking weekend and we could see with the response it generated. Whirlpool had set up a demo kitchen called as a Chef Theatre in the open lawns. As part of the show there were live demonstrations from Chefs of various star hotels and Brand CAI day and night. Chef Attique, Chef Nihit Chandra, Chef Srikanth and Chef Naveen, senior Chef Instructors of the academy had demonstrated their Culinary talents before a huge crowd. There were also Chefs from The Park Hyderabad, Raddison Blu, Compass and other popular restaurants of Hyderabad that showcased their skillThe entire event was taken to a different dimension with the twist added by Brand CAI in conducting a very challenging and exciting cooking competition for the amateurs called The Great Hyderabad Home Cook Challenge. The competition had two categories- Appetizers and Dessert. There were more than 50 entries in each category and the top five were made to compete with each other live in front of a huge audience. Whirl Pool had announced wonderful prizes worth 1.5 lakhs for the winners. Chef Mandar Sukhtankar, Executive chef, The Park, Celebrity Chef Puneet Mehta, Shanmugam, President of ACP , Chef Sudha kumar Principal, NITHM ,Chef Bomi Patel, COO, BOMPAT Recruiters were the judges for the event. The entire show – The Chefs Theatre and The Great Hyderabad Home Cook Challenge was orchestrated by Chef Akshay Kulkarni, Head of the Department, Brand CAI and winner of the Best Culinary Educator award 2014 by Epicurous Hospitality Awards.

Chef Sudhakar Rao, Director of the institute along with the organizers graced the occasion and gave away the awards to the winners.
